Week 1
Kaona Kuleana ʻAnoʻano
Your reason for being — the state you intend to be in when you put the body down.
Taught by a Hawaiian kahu who can name every teacher in her line.
If you are stuck
I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
And the same argument is still waiting for you at three in the morning.
You were not doing it wrong. You were given four lines of a practice that has twelve.
A fact worth checking
Morrnah Nālamakū Simeona — named a Living Treasure of Hawaiʻi in 1983 — passed in 1992. The mantra the internet now calls hoʻoponopono was assembled after that. It isn't what she taught.
What has been missing from your practice is the other ninety percent.
Kept in one family
Twelve movements. Mihi and kala — the repenting, and the releasing.
The guide, when you are ready
She was taught hoʻoponopono before she could read — by her mother, and by her kupuna of Molokaʻi. It wasn't a course. It was how the family settled what needed settling.
Later she studied under Morrnah Simeona herself. One week before he died, Kahuna Papa K Kepilino gave her the Breath of Hā.
Moʻokūʻauhau
Her daughter and her granddaughter are in these photographs. The line is not ending.
Anyone can claim an ancient lineage. Very few can list it — and say what was handed over at each step.
Her kupuna
Of Molokaʻi. The island practice, given at home, in Hawaiian.
Her mother
Who taught her the protocol as a child — the ordinary way a family sets things right.
Her teacher
Living Treasure of Hawaiʻi. Kāhealani studied under her directly — not from a book about her.
Her initiator
Seven generations from Kamehameha I. He gave her the Breath of Hā one week before he died.
Now
Her daughter. Her granddaughter. And, if you are called, you.
The whole curriculum, before you pay anything
Everyone else says learn hoʻoponopono. Here is the actual architecture, in her words, from the manual her family kept.
Week 1
Your reason for being — the state you intend to be in when you put the body down.
Week 2
What you do in the world with what you've become. Beingness first, then doingness.
Week 3
What you believe about God, life and self — in your own words, not borrowed.
Week 4
Your standards. The truths you'll hold when you're tried. You don't learn to shoot in the middle of the battle.
Week 5
Monitoring your state, one to ten. At six or below you don't trust your own thinking — and you don't make the call.
Week 6
The unwelcomed guests. Naming every recurring thought that steals your mana.
Week 7
The welcomed guests. Who you're deliberately inviting into the kingdom instead.
Week 8
Naming the film of your last week honestly — and titling the next one before it starts.
Week 9
There is life in the words and death in the words. Auditing your vocabulary.
Week 10
Victories and thanksgiving. Every time you chose differently, counted and honoured.
Week 11
Forgiveness. Mihi and kala. The week most people come for — placed eleventh for a reason.
Week 12
Demonstrations. The fruits you can point to and say: that happened because I did this differently.
Aloha ia oʻkoa paʻulo

There's no countdown on this page. Only the arithmetic of a woman taught by people who are gone, who would rather the protocol outlive her than go quiet with her.
